Taylor's journey to fame began with YouTube. She started with making ASMR videos with her smartphone. PewDiePie appeared in a game-related video shortly after reaching 50k subscribers. It was approximately one and a half months after the first upload of her YouTube video. After two months, close to 100,000 subscribers, Taylor quit producing content on her Youtube channel, and put the entire content on private. The reason for this was issues with the new technology and becoming overwhelmed by the popularity of her channel. Following a long hiatus of about a month, she began making videos in the new year, such as the popular ASMR 10 Triggers to Help You Sleep (35 million views as of August 2022). In July 2017 she uploaded another very popular video ASMR 20 Triggers to help You Sleep (38 million views at august 2022). In August of 2017, she was interviewed in Shane Dawson's video, and soon afterward, hit a million YouTube viewers. In February, Wired UK estimated that she made $1,000 per day from advertising revenue on her YouTube channel

Helfer was raised in the rural area of Donalda, Alberta, Canada and was the daughter of Dennis Helfer and Elaine Helfer. Her parents are of German, English and Swedish heritage. She attended in the William E. Hay Composite High School, located within Stettler (Alberta). Alongside her sisters Trena Tammy Tara She lived in the grain farm of their family. Helfer was discovered at age 17 by a scout for a modeling agency while standing in line at an movie theater.
